rberry, Louis Vuitton, Prada & Gucci Present Pudsey Bears for Children In Need

The Children In Need foundation has managed to put together an impressive list of 30 high fashion designers for their latest Pudsey Bear initiative. Curated by LOVE Magazine editor Katie Grand, each brand designed a 24-inch Pudsey plush bear, that will all be auctioned at Christie’s on November 15, with all proceeds going to the celebrated children’s charity.

Participating brands include Louis Vuitton, Prada, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Vogue, GQ, Gucci, Sibling, Victoria Beckham, Paul Smith, Versace, Balenciaga and many others.
“All 30 bears will be showcased exclusively at Selfridges in London and Manchester from October 24 until November 14, including the Vogue Pudsey which was first unveiled yesterday. In addition, tomorrow Paul Smith, Anya Hindmarch and Selfridges will launch 10-inch versions of their respective bears – available to buy at Selfridges.”

Gourmet x Mitchell & Ness Vintage Satin Jacket

In a market saturated with fashion collaborations, partnerships that make sense and products that reflect the distinctive qualities of both parties are few and far between. Bucking the trend, Gourmet recently teamed up with retro sportswear specialists Mitchell & Ness for a duo of Vintage Satin Jackets that stay close to home. Rivalries and all, the founders of the footwear label looked to their hometown teams — the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox — for baseball jackets that served as the foundation of the joint effort. The jacket body is constructed of 1980s era satin, while full-grain leopard printed suede arms — reminiscent of Gourmet’s similarly patterned footwear – and a fully-lined interior keep things timely and seasonal. Quantities will be limited to 12 per color and will be available on October 27 at Gourmet’s website.

Stone Island 2012 Fall / Winter Reflective Jackets

Long associated with European football fans, Italian sportswear label Stone Island presents a series of new reflective outerwear for Fall/Winter 2012. Featuring tonal and camouflage jackets alongside a mid-length parka, the releases offer light reflection via a process that includes hand-spraying the pieces with a coating of thousands of glass micro spheres before being oven-dried. With the jackets appearing in a variety of colorways, the grey parka also utilizes heat-sensitivity technology – thus allowing the coat to change colors with relation to temperature. Varying in price from $1,075 USD to $1,250 USD, all three of the reflective jackets are now available online from Stone Island.

Supreme x The North Face Fall 2012 Collection

Once again Supreme and The North Face have teamed up on a couple of products. This Fall, Supreme has joined with The North Face to introduce the Mountain Shell Jacket and the Medium Day Pack Backpack.

Custom fit for Supreme, the Mountain Shell Jacket features a water resistant corduroy cotton shell. The Medium Day Pack Backpack features a water resistant corduroy cotton shell with a suede bottom.
All items will be available in three colorways exclusively made for Supreme and will release in store in NY, LA, London and online on October 25th and in Japan on October 27th.

atmos x Penfield – Gillman Jacket

This Gillman Jacket marks the second collaboration between the Japanese select store, atmos, and the American outdoor company, Penfield. Based on the classic outerwear piece from Penfield, this piece was tweaked to match the personality of the Japanese brand. Eye-catching, bright red inner lining highlights the otherwise neutral navy exterior of the jacket. The external shell is constructed from 60/40 cloth, a classic material that improves weatherproofing. Bronze- and silver-colored snap-buttons are placed alternately on the front, while a leather piping accents the cuffs. These jackets are sold exclusively from atmos’ retail store and online shop in Tokyo.

A Tribe Called Quest x Applebum ‘Beats, Rhymes & Life – The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest’ T-Shirt

To commemorate the release of the documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life – The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest, A Tribe Called Quest hooked up with Japanese brand Applebum for a special T-shirt. Deriving its name from the group’s first single “Bonita Applebum” off their debut album, Applebum was a natural choice for this special piece. The tee features a bright red and green camo-esque print made famous by the group’s signature usage of the pattern punctuated by a bold, white graphic with the name of the documentary across the front. Just 20 of these special tees have been produced and rather than being sold they are being offered up in a giveaway on the brand’s site. Unfortunately the giveaway is limited to residents of Japan.

NEXUSVII Topflite Leather Riders Down Jacket

Japanese brand NEXUSVII presents an interesting outerwear piece from its new Fall/Winter 2012 Collection – the Topflite Leather Riders Down Jacket. Basically the brand produced a winter version of the iconic bikers jacket, which now comes with a down filling, to keep you warm in the coming months. The jacket comes with a lamb leather upper in black and beige options.

visvim ALBACORE SHIRT L/S IT

The visvim long-sleeve ALBACORE shirt sees slight modification for the 2012 fall/winter season. Using custom-milled cotton from Australia, the ALBACORE SHIRT L/S IT features its signature elbow to cuff tear-drop design in a choice of contrasting plaid overlaid with flower-print, or a much more simpler micro-dot pattern. The shirt is finished with subtle hand-embroidered detailing on the back yoke. Priced at ¥27,000 JPY (approximately $342 USD), the shirt can be found here.

Supreme x Mark Gonzales M-51 Jacket

The latest M-51 Jacket features artwork by Mark Gonzales for Supreme. The M-51 is constructed of cotton and nylon, with a zipper and snap placket, removable lining and hood. The jackets also features bellowed pockets on the chest and flap pockets on lower front region.You can purchase the M-51 directly from Supreme for $298 USD.

Rocksmith x Spike Lee Obama Tee

At a pivotal time in U.S. history, Rocksmith has chosen to use their medium to once again show their support of President Barack Obama. In 2007, the company released the Ba-Rocksmith tee, which mirrored the pop iconic stature of a then-Senator Obama. “This election cycle, as a small business in America, we feel the country moving forward in a positive direction,” described Rocksmith.

For this limited tee, Rocksmith had the honor of collaborating with the legendary Spike Lee and 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks.

Jay-Z’s #4 Brooklyn Nets Jerseys Up for Auction

Naturally to follow-up on eight straight Jay-Z performances at the newly opened Barclays Center, 10 signed limited edition Nets jerseys worn by Hova himself have gone up for auction. Bearing the number 4 as well as “CARTER” printed across the back, this is a jersey that is not likely to see production. Proceeds will benefit the Shawn Carter Foundation, so place your bids on the official NBA website.

Technical fleece outerwear is the best for layering and staying warm in the winter. Unfortunately it is not very easy coming across some more unique pieces, as for the most part outdoor companies stick the the same classic colors every season.

Once again we have to thank The North Face Purple Label, the Japan exclusive collection, for changing things up a bit. Strange, colorful, weird, yet just amazing patterns are features on their new Fall/Winter 2012 Fleece Collection. The line includes reversible fleece vests and jackets, as well as mountain fleece jackets and vests, along with shorts, caps and scarves. Match these up with an otherwise simple outfit and they will just look great.

The Bape Store London Turns 10 – Very Ape UK Gets Re-Introduced

The Bape Store in London is celebrating its 10th anniversary. For the occasion Bape will be holding a special event with i-D Magazine and of course they also have some nice product releases planned for the occasion.

The ‘Very Ape UK’ line will be re-introduced for the anniversary. Those of you that have not been around at the time, Very Ape UK was Made in UK A Bathing Ape product and some of the first product that the UK got to see from the Japanese brand. Unlike the original Bape head that looks west, the custom Very Ape UK head looks east.

White Mountaineering Wool Tweed Check Soutien Collar Jacket

In reinterpreting the classic overcoat, pattern-orientated White Mountaineering has customized its own version with a check-patterned tweed for the new season. Synonymous to the brand is its detailing, of which is apparent through its use of black corduroy pockets fastened diagonally for contrasting effects. Other notable details include the staggered-cut shirt tail with a rounded hem, a rear yoke panel, and asymmetrical storm flap and placket reinforcements. Addict x Mishka 2012 Fall Capsule Collection

 

UK-based streetwear label Addict has been tapped by New York City’s Mishka for a special edition capsule collection for Fall 2012. Featuring a comics-inspired work by longtime Mishka collaborator, artist and sculptor Lamour Supreme, the capsule includes a trio of tees with revamped “Keep Watch” and “Hooded Death” graphics from the Mishka archives included amongst the releases. Retailing for £30 GBP (approximately $48 USD) each, all three tees from the Addict x Mishka Fall 2012 capsule collection are now available in both black and white from Addict online.

Although the heroes of the Star Wars series have a loyal following, its villains have just as many fans, perhaps influenced by the power of the Dark Side. mastermind JAPAN continues to release solid denim garments for the 2012 fall/winter season. The latest jeans have been treated with a special distressed wash, giving the denim a rough, worn-in look. Slim-fitting in cut, the pair of blue denim features double belt loops and an extended waistline, making the jeans appear as if two pairs are together sewn as one. mmJ goes to great lengths to add a plethora of details into each pair, from the embossed skull and crossbones logo on the rear pocket, the studded double rings on the front, upper thigh and ankle indigo motif, down to the tiny mmJ rivets. However, as with most mastermind JAPAN products, these jeans will put some strain on your bank account, retailing for a premium price of £1,650 GBP (approximately $2,650 USD). Les Plus Dorés Release The Team Kawakubo T-Shirts

After previously dropping the Team Margiela, Team Tisci and Team Slimane t-shirts, New York brand Les Plus Dorés is back this week with the Team Kawakubo tee, in support of the founder of iconic Japanese brand COMME des GARCONS, Rei Kawakubo.

Limited to 150 pieces, the t-shirt released this weekend, with a few left here.

Stussy x New Era 2012 Fall / Winter “EK” Collection

 

 

New Era‘s more mature EK Collection shows a new collaborative venture today alongside street giant, Stussy. The collection doesn’t stray too far from either party’s core aesthetic, with classic New Era EK staple models being mocked up in understated all-black with simple metal New Era insignia playing its part as well. Included among the range is the EK Original, Fedora and The Brigade model. Slated to release on October 11, those in the market can find stock through select Stussy chapters as well as online here through Stussy Japan’s online store.
